Congratulations on providing a helpful factual guide to the EU Referendum geared with notes for us older voters (May). A pity Deputy Editor Tina Foster didn’t study it! Saying she was ‘heartily sick’ of it may have chimed with some readers but to write I ‘didn’t really want to vote on something I do not understand’ and ‘didn’t have the time’ to study really seemed like the politics of despair.
If, like Tina, you ‘have no idea how any of this will affect my family and me’ you surely owe it to yourself and your family, especially young people, to set a good example and find out. Like many local groups we are putting on a People’s Parliament with speakers and information so that people of any age can ask questions and have their say. I suggest Tina and others who feel like her go along to her local meeting and take her family.
