After reading your article on when you are old, I thought I’d tell you of a conversation I had with my granddaughter. I asked at one time if she thought 60 was old, she said definitely not, she would call 70 old, which was really encouraging as I’m in my 60’s still!
Another time she wanted to go to a family camp holiday, I asked her if she’d rather go on her own, than have us, two old people with her? She sounded quite horrified and said said “that’s so sad, you’re not two old people, you’re my lovely grandparents, of course I want you to come”.
She is lovely and 16, when I would have thought at that age 60 was pretty old!!
