I totally agree with Julia Davey’s opinion on computers (issue no.289), having had a similar experience re computer technology.
As to it being an ‘ageist’ problem this is rubbish. My son-in-law works in the IT industry, and even he is apprehensive when having to transfer a large sum of money online.
Also I find that amongst younger people ‘online’ shopping is becoming more time consuming than going to a shop.
