The St Albans Afternoon Townswomen’s Guild are currently trying to increase their members and are encouraging local women to come to join their friendly group.
The group meets at 2 pm every second Thursday of the month at the Methodist Church Halls, Hatfield Road, St. Albans and they have a range of interesting speakers each month.
The Townswomen’s Guild have a competition every month and a sales table where members can bring and buy and they also have a lucky draw. Once a year the group have a bring and buy at their Treasurer’s house, as well as two meals out during the year; one for their birthday and one for Christmas.
New members would be most welcome to come along and see if they like the group before joining, although a more kind, friendly group would be hard to find. Members even get a telephone call from the nominated ‘sick visitor’ if they are unwell!
