Recently I bought a BT corded telephone. Emblazoned on the box was the Union Jack, with the proud boast: ‘Designed in the UK, for the UK’.
Even better was the sight of the Royal Coat of Arms, with the words – “By appointment to Her Majesty the Queen”. However, tucked away, on the bottom of the box and in minuscule print were the magic words ‘Made in China’.
Makes you proud to be British doesn’t it?
