This month we shall be heading our way down to Yeovil in Somerset to see a festival of trucks and lorries.
In our family we are not so much petrol heads as diesel heads and we love the sight of these monsters of the motorways.
Having spent time at festivals from art and book to music and food we are now ready for some mechanics and transport.
The Wessex Truck Show is the South West’s largest truck show event! A fantastic weekend of activities including over 550 Trucks, TV Stunt Team, Monster & Mini Monster Truck Rides, Craft Fair, Trade Stands and new for 2016 – a Kids Zone! This is what the Show is about, the trucks and their drivers. Come along and see at least 550 trucks at their best.
American trucks, including an original ice road truck, used on the ice roads of Northern America and Canada, before being shipped to the UK.
Recovery trucks, Retro, Vintage & the most modern trucks on our roads today.
See up close the fantastic airbrushed designs on vehicles and the skill this involves. Also the time and dedication drivers put into keeping their vehicles in top condition. For some this isn’t just a day job!
Anyone wanting to get their fix of transport from delivery vehicles from the early years of motors to the huge road trains that cross the globe, and looking forward to the driverless trucks that are being tested, should come along.
Of course, there will be plenty of other attractions if you get bored with trucks with a craft show and stunt teams so plenty to entertain.
Truckfest being held at Yeovil Showground, BA20 2RZ on 13 and 14 August 2016. For more information visit www.wessextruckshow.co.uk or email info@wessextruckshow.co.uk
