So future generations are going to have to work into their 70s and 80s to be able to afford to retire? In which case, you can say farewell to the majority of the country’s charities, charity shops, preserved railways, museums, Nation Trust houses and English Heritage sites.
It is we OAPs who by volunteering for free provide the backbone of all these leisure activities. Without us these organisations could not survive.
There will be nowhere to go out for the day because there will be no one to run them! And who will look after all those grandchildren for working parents?
