In response to your article ‘Smart Meters Explained’ (April 2016), here are a few points I would like to raise:
- The article says that they have no cost but then goes on to state that our bills are increasing by £200 to pay for them.
- There seems to be a very small saving on bills – only 2-3% (£3 per month) in my case.
- I already provide monthly readings and get billed accordingly.
- I can already assess my power usage (admittedly not measured) by checking what appliances and equipment are being used.
So please allow my supplier to NOT install one and NOT to increase my bill to pay for it.
