Bring yourself some luck for the new year!

We could all use as much luck as possible, particularly at the start of a new year when we would like to think that the coming weeks and months will be good ones. The comfort of having something that is meant to be ‘lucky’ is often enough to help people to notice all the lovely things that might occur. So in a manner of speaking, the act of believing in luck is enough to make it happen!

BambooLucky Bamboo house plants, for example, are said to be Feng Shui ‘cures’ that make a home and its occupants feel good. The luck apparently originates from the number of stems together with the form and positioning of the plant in a home.  More luck in the form of money is said to come from the ‘money tree’ or Crassula ovata.

They are easy to care for and some say that if you stroke their leaves and give them some attention they will reward your life with some money!  If it’s good health you are after you can’t go wrong with an Aloe Vera plant. These stylish specimens are well known for their healing properties – the juicy gloop inside the leaves is said to sooth burns and wounds and is thought to have rejuvenating properties. They are easy to care for and useful too.
