You ask, what do pensioners want the politicians to do for us?

Many of my friends and family are now in their eighties, including myself. Most of them are saying “The NHS is not caring enough for us”.

“We are too old for them to care for us”. I hear this every week from someone.

Frequently the GPs are not sending them on to a consultant to have their problems checked. Those going to A & E are sent home without their health problem sorted.

A family member was sent home from hospital without treatment for a serious heart problem.

Another was sent home with tablets for a very severe headache without having a brain scan, which her GP had wanted for her.

Another has an eye problem and says she is not getting the service she expects, and yet another has skin cancer that has accelerated whilst waiting for her G.P to send her to hospital (more than 6 months from her first consulting him with the problem.

So please – more care from the NHS for our elderly.
