Passing the buck?

Passing the buck?

I am not a euro sceptic but I am a referenda sceptic. I was in my 30s when Harold Wilson called the referendum on joining the Common Market. Despite being a lifelong Labour supporter I felt affronted that the clever people we had voted into government were now passing the buck to the common people to decide, and so I voted against. Now in my 70s, I am voting to stay in the E.U out of loyalty to “the Club”. Simples!
