I note in issue no. 286 of Mature Times that you state that we are protected against some of these situations in law, but not all of them.
Most clubs in Mid-Wales give concessions to OAP’s and this is still interpreted as age 60 for women and 65 for men. I even know of these ages being written into constitution documents.
Surely, since 60 is no longer the retirement age for women and since we should be striving for equality in respect of age and/or sex, this is wrong. Whenever I mention the matter I am considered a troublemaker. Maybe you would like to investigate and report.
