You talk about travel insurance and remembering to take an EH1 card when travelling to Europe. This card replaced the old E111 (which worked well) however this EH1C is a useless piece of cardboard! It is not accepted in Germany or Spain.
I complained many times to the NHS Business Services Authority in Newcastle but they did not want to know and never answered my letter. What a waste of money – still it keeps some people in employment. I always have my own travel insurance.
