Research by British Gas shows that 9 out of 10 households with smart meters are taking simple daily steps to manage their home energy use, such as turning off appliances when they are not in use.
As a result of these changes, more than half of those who use their smart energy monitor (54%) say they’re saving money, with nearly two-thirds of those identifying savings of up to £75 per year
