Replacing the Liverpool Care Pathway

Replacing the Liverpool Care Pathway

After much derision the Liverpool Care Pathway has been abandoned, a right wing justification for rationing health care.

The latest being pioneered in England is to pay GPs for not referring patients to consultants for non-urgent procedures such as joint replacements, cataracts, physiotherapy and control of infections by continuous medication with antibiotics.

What we are seeing in the NHS is culling of the elderly by managed decline.

When the Condem Government was elected my GP used their rhetoric to deny treatment to patients over 70.

Now they are much more subtle and kill us off quietly. Note the increasing delays in hospital appointments and the reduction of ambulance services.
