Brexit referendum

Brexit referendum

Dear Editor,

I have to strongly disagree with two recent letters which supported Brexit, even though the European Union itself was scarcely mentioned by either writer.

I and many other older people voted Remain, often because we could see the threats ahead of us if we leave the EU, and I am sceptical that this dangerous Brexit policy will come about once its full challenges and risks become clearer.

Older people should, instead of moaning about not being listened to or having had a tough life in their own youth, consider the interests of the younger people whose employment prospects are very likely to suffer because of the foolish referendum result.

Viva Europa!
