I am sure that the many fans of David Bowie are very, very sad at the news of his death I know he was a very talented man who gave joy to many people, but am I completely out of touch with modern living?
If I was asked about David Bowie a few days ago, I would have said ” I believe he was a ‘popstar’ singer in the 70s, beyond that I knew nothing, I couldn’t have named any of his songs.
Today I am amazed at the amount of continuous news coverage on all channels (and newspapers). Pictures of people placing flowers, lighting candles and some openly crying.
I can understand the sadness of those who were his fans, but for the life of me I cannot understand the outpouring of grief so publicly shown
Perhaps I am misguided.
