The TV licence fee is a small price to pay for BBC

Whilst agreeing with Mr Bourne (Letters MT February issue) that the BBC does dish up rather a lot of repeats on TV for the licence fee.

What is the alternative?

Suffering all the mind numbing adverts on all the commercial channels, which interrupt every programme every ten minutes or so!

The licence fee is still a small price to pay for the many BBC TV channels and radio.
