I like the new feature introducing the Mature Times Book Club and I would like to recommend a book for readers of the Mature Times. “First steps though Bereavement” by Sue Mayfield, published by Lion at £4.99.
If you, or someone you know, recently suffered bereavement then this little book is for you. Different types of death such as natural disaster, suicide, armed conflict etc are mentioned and there is advice on how to express feelings and how to help those who have been bereaved.
Also included is a resource section with details of books that may be helpful, (some especially written for children) and details of organisations and websites. The way the book is set out makes it easy to read in small portions as you can manage them or you could real it all in a couple of sittings.
