We should be proud of our NHS

We should be proud of our NHS

Many present and former patients will welcome the news of the initiatives to ensure that meals for NHS hospital patients are of the highest standards, which they already are in some of our hospitals, but not in others and whilst there are a number of views that the proposed initiatives don’t go far enough, lacking sufficient legal teeth, I believe that the initiative is a start, which if seen (and tasted) not to effectively work, will need to have legal enforcement added in order to ensure that what is perceived as a weakness within our NHS becomes one of its strengths.

Our NHS is something of which we should all be proud. It deserves the best and already has an excellent workforce of dedicated staff who work tirelessly for the health of its patients and its  managers need to ensure that the standards of hospital food are of the highest.

The initiative is a step forward and it remains to be seen how successful it will be, depending of course on individual managers within our respective hospitals, as well as those who occupy the tops of our NHS trees throughout the regions.

Yours sincerely
