BBC Countryfile Live has announced more detail of what to expect from the truly unique event taking place at Blenheim Palace this summer. Set to combine the tradition of the UK’s best county fairs with stars from the show across four extraordinary days, Countryfile Live will be the perfect day out for all the family (and their four legged friends!)

With four areas dedicated to animals, including the Equine Village and The Dog Arena, and four areas for food lovers, including the Food Heroes Kitchen, National Trust Cookery Theatre and the Food Market, Countryfile Live will have something for everyone. Guests will be able to start the day canoeing and fishing on the River Glyme, stroll through exhibits of amazing animals and fascinating farm machinery, and sit down to a Q&A with the Countryfile presenters – all accompanied by the very best of British food.

The center-piece of Countryfile Live will be the spectacular arena show ‘The Countryfile Calendar’ featuring presenters from the programme. Fans of Countryfile will witness the four seasons in just 30 minutes, with dazzling displays by both human and four legged performers, and get to know everything from our nation’s stunning scenery to the unpredictable British weather. Guests will experience the sights, sounds and – and yes, even the smells – of country life as they are taken on a journey through time and seasons.

Foodies will be further thrilled as former Ready, Steady, Cook TV chef Brian Turner proves just what a feast of fine food we produce in the UK in a series of cookery sessions in the Food Heroes Kitchen. He’ll be turning the heat up — and the spotlight on — some of the hundreds of food and drink heroes who are displaying their goods at the show.

The National Trust Cookery Theatre will see chefs, including This Morning’s Phil Vickery, Iron Chef UK Winner Marcus Bean, and Great British Bake Off Champion John Whaite, showcase some of the Fine Farm Produce Award winning ingredients from National Trust tenant farmers and estates. The winners for 2016 will even be announced at this year’s Countryfile Live.

Animal lovers will be drawn to numerous attractions including The Sheep Show, Parade of Hounds, The Dog and Duck Show, displays of Falconry and Shire Horses as well as The Ferret Roadshow.

Not only that, but Britain’s most famous farmer Adam Henson is bringing his amazing animals to Countryfile Live. At Adams Farm, visitors will meet some of the rare breeds, farm livestock and animal celebrities they have watched on BBC One and can learn how farmers care for their livestock. Children will love the baby offspring in the Animal Petting Barn including chicks, rabbits and adorable goat kids.

The National Trust will be hosting a series of thought-provoking debates on current issues affecting rural Britain in the National Trust Theatre, with talks from the likes of bushcraft expert Ray Mears, The One Show’s wildlife presenter Mike Dilger, BBC Radio 4’s Martha Kearney and writer & commentator Will Self.

Countryfile Live’s Village Green is set to be the perfect setting for family entertainment such as Tug-of-War, Morris dancing, Punch-and-Judy, a vintage Funfair and traditional village fete games.

Thrill-seekers will want to check out the unique Mitsubishi Motors’ 4×4 Challenge. Get behind the wheel for some off-road action! Countryfile Live also hosts the fourth National Lumberjack Championship in the STIHL Timbersports Series.

In addition to this, Countryfile Live will also play host to over 600 exhibitors. Visitors will be treated to a huge choice of shops on an unprecedented scale, from independent food and craft producers to major luxury brands, hundreds of the nation’s best craftsmen and women will be in attendance, providing the public with thousands of choices for their perfect take home item.

With on-site camping available, courtesy of official partner The Camping and Caravanning Club, Countryfile lovers can even make a weekend out of what will be one of the biggest,. and most exciting, outdoor events this year, an experience that the whole family – and their dog – can enjoy
