75 year old cancer charity trustee raps for his cause!

Tim Sharp, a 75 year old trustee of the Prostate Project, a Surrey based prostate cancer charity, today launched his debut rap video in attempt to boost the charity’s OctoBeardFest fundraising Appeal.

“We’re half way through the month and we’ve raised around £30,000” said Tim. “A terrific effort, but still a long way off our target of £200,000. I’m hoping thousands of men all over the country will feel my rap is worth a £5 donation”.

Tim’s rap video can be downloaded here or viewed on the OBF website at: www.octobeardfest.co.uk where there is also a donation link.

All the money raised will go to support Professor Hardev Pandha’s world-class cancer research team at the University of Surrey. They have built an international reputation for their brilliant work in vaccine, genes and immunotherapy and also their ground-breaking discovery of a protein (EN2) in urine that can detect cancer cells 50% more accurately than the 30-year-old PSA test.

Securing research grant funding is getting harder all the time which is why Professor Pandha says that OctoBeardFest is the bright star on his funding horizon. He needs everyone’s help to keep it shining.

The Prostate Project is a volunteer led charity with no paid staff or expensive offices. At least 96 pence of every pound donated will go to the point of need. Over the last 16 years the charity has raised over £6 million.
