The Woodland Trust can offer you the chance to dedicate your own corner of one of our woods just to your loved one. Imagine having somewhere perfectly peaceful to visit and remember them for generations to come.
A dedication of a tree or larger area of woodland, with the opportunity to add a bench or grove post with your personal message, is a beautiful and permanent way of remembering them.
A special place to smile, cry and remember
By dedicating trees or woodland, you’ll have somewhere meaningful to visit in years to come. Woods are perfect for quiet reflection, remembrance and even one day, when the time is right, enjoyment. Somewhere you may wish to bring young family as they grow.
The woods you choose will carry on living, growing and changing for generations, giving new life to nature and providing a haven for wildlife and a poignant link between past, present and future.
The Woodland Trust has decades of experience with woodland dedications. Our sympathetic and knowledgeable team will handle the whole process. When arrangements have been completed you’ll receive a beautiful certificate personalised with your own message of dedication, an information sheet about your chosen wood and a map showing the location of your dedication.
Personal and unique
Dedication areas range in size from a single tree to a quarter of an acre up to an acre or more. Groves of more than an acre can also be personalised with a bench or grove post in selected woods.
Each tree or woodland area is dedicated once only, so every dedication is personal and unique – your chosen area could be a wildflower glade, a sunny hilltop, or a lichen-covered riverbank.
Locations range from magnificent, ancient woodland to fresh newly planted woods – each one extremely special.
Your dedication will also be making a difference to the future of the UK’s woods and trees by helping us continue our work protecting, restoring and creating woodland and wildlife habitats for years to come.
