Stealthy privatisation of the NHS

Stealthy privatisation of the NHS

Readers may be interested to know that the Health and Social Care Act, 2012, which came in to operation on 1st April, 2013 encourages the NHS to offer its services for tender to any willing provider and that here in Hull, Physiotherapy and Depression and Anxiety services have been taken over by private companies, even though the NHS also put in a bid to keep those services within the National Health Service. These private companies are allowed to keep the NHS logo on the uniforms, buildings and vans so that the general public don`t know what is happening under the their noses.

I think elderly people, like myself, who remember the Friday knock on the door by the doctor`s clerk, to collect the money we owed for treatment before we had our precious NHS, will be very worried that these things are happening when none of us voted for them. I hope anyone who is concerned will contact their MP to protest.
