The Scottish questions

In all the recent coverage, I have heard nothing yet about who will be entitled to be a Scottish National? All the talk about national and self identity, but no identity seems to be offered to date. Who will be entitled and who will have to have Scottish nationality? Anyone born in Scotland? One or both parents of Scottish blood? One or more grandparents of Scottish blood?

How will Scottish passports be accepted in EU countries and outside EU countries vis a vis Visas, controlled occupations etc.?

What will be the Embassy status of Scottish nationals and Scottish nationals’ civil status in England? Who would be entitled to dual nationality? Or are we going to have half the Scottish population rushing down the motorways to England for NHS treatment with other cars going the other way loaded with prospective university students after free tuition?

How about business regulations which will vary from country to country with firms operating in both?

Bear in mind that if one has dual nationality one cannot claim Consular Services in either of those two countries if things go wrong. There is more to independence than the currency, tossing the caber and good Scottish whisky. Independence means what it says. A little more about how the individual will be affected might be worth hearing.
