Who do you think you are?

Who do you think you are?

Are you enjoying the various TV programmes about finding out family history?  Me too.

Since retirement in June I have had more time to devote to this very addictive hobby.

I was amazed that my first family history internet search had given me such good results. My nuclear family is very small. Maybe that is why I am over the moon that my searches have put me in touch with distant relatives all over the world. I enjoy email correspondence with these far flung relatives and we have exchanged old family photos and memories.

There are family history societies all over the UK, and indeed the world, which welcome new members and encourage the study of family history in their geographical areas.  A good way to find out if there is a society near you is to look on the website of the Federation of Family History Societies www.ffhs.org.uk or Freephone 0800 0856322
