Home insurance, adverse weather comment from Age UK

Gordon Morris, Managing Director of Age UK Enterprises, said:

“According to the latest Met Office forecast, the current adverse weather is set to continue meaning that homes could be at higher risk of damage. Now is an ideal time to review your home insurance policy to make sure you’re fully covered. Read the small print so you know about any exceptions that could stop you from being eligible for a claim; and, as with any financial product, if you’re looking to renew or purchase a policy for the first time then shop around so you only ever pay for the level of cover you need.”

“For those who would like more information on preparing their home for bad weather visit the Age UK website for information and advice.”
