More Get Up and Go at Mobility Roadshow

It might be something as simple as a stiff neck that can hamper safe driving, or an arthritic condition that makes hopping in and out of vehicles more difficult, but as we grow older mobility problems are not uncommon.

There are however many gadgets and accessories to aid mobility that can make a world of difference to greater independence and enhanced quality of life. You'll find hundreds of ideas at the popular annual Mobility Roadshow that takes place this year at Kemble Airfield near Cirencester on 4th 5th and 6th June. All one site, you can view, try out and compare all the options.

For thousands of older people across the UK a mobility scooter is the route to greater independence. At the Roadshow there is a special 'test drive' area to help you decide on the best ride for speed control, safety, comfort and portability - many lightweight models store easily in a car boot. New this year is a series of short and to-the-point friendly seminars that includes a scooter workshop - so bring along your questions.

Accessible travel and holiday destinations are the subject of another  seminar. Mobility and accessibility whilst travelling can turn a welcome break into the holiday of a lifetime. In the holiday arena you will find both accessible holiday companies and representatives from overseas resorts - many purpose built for ultimate accessibility - as well as within the UK.

You can also check out the latest mobility vehicles, new conversion and adaptation products, exercise equipment, products for home, plus  information and support from advisory groups and charities.

If interesting motors are your passion, owner drivers of adapted classic, sports and high performance vehicles will attend on the Saturday to share their enthusiasm. You can take a trial flight; try adapted go-karts, a skid car or 4x4 off-road ride, even see how far you can go on the accessible climbing wall.

The Mobility Roadshow will certainly help you to get up and go. Put the date in your diary now and register for free tickets in advance, with a chance to win a P&O mini cruise for two. If you wish to test drive vehicles register in advance to save time on the day, but don't forget to take your driving licence. You may also pre-book scooter loans - all this, together with opening times and travel information - at the website below or tel 0845 241 0390.
