Get your trainers on in a good cause
14/04/2009
Here's a great way to spend a sunny Sunday in May: running five miles for a very good cause.
The ever popular Knowle Fun Run in Solihull on Sunday 10th May, is looking for repeat of last year when 2,000 runners from all over the Midlands raised over £50,000 for charity. Take part and you'll help raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support, Whizz Kidz, Campaign SightFirst ll and local causes.
Well known comedian and actor Don Maclean will get the runners under way and award the trophies. There are trophies and prizes to win in individual and team categories and a medal and certificate for everyone who completes the course. Mini runs for the under 9’s who will also get a free T-shirt. It's not just a fun run - but a great day out as well, say the organisers.
With less than 400 places remaining there is always a last minute surge, so to avoid disappointment, visit the link below for more details and to enter online now.
