Making original art accessible to all

Between October 19th-22nd 2006 over 125 galleries will be joining forces at The Affordable Art Fair to make original art more accessible and fun, with paintings, sculpture, photography and original prints, all priced at under £3,000.
According to new research from the Affordable Art Fair, we are a nation of art lovers; one in ten of us rate original art as a must-have possession, but we lack the confidence to go out and get it.
Other findings reveal that many feel intimidated by the art scene and in the dark when it comes to making that all important first purchase. Over a third of the British public own a piece of original art, and the majority of those who don’t would like to (64%).
This key event in London’s art calendar aims to help change that.
