With Christmas fast approaching, The Blue Cross is asking animal lovers to take boxes of their special snowflake decorations to their workplace, gym or social club and sell them to support the invaluable work of The Blue Cross.

Supplied in boxes of 100, the snowflake decorations come in blue or silver with a suggested donation of only £1.

Heather Collin, Blue Cross fundraising coordinator, said: “We would be extremely grateful to anyone who is willing to take a box of snowflake decorations. They are bound to brighten up any Christmas tree as well as brightening the lives of the animals that we care for.”

The Blue Cross relies entirely on public donations and receives no government funding. Last year the Blue Cross adoption centres cared for 2,278 dogs, 3,037 cats and other small pets, and veterinary staff carried out 81,984 operations, consultations and diagnostic procedures.
