It's Eldercare Week!

Today (Monday 1st September) is start of the second annual ElderCare Week, organised by Counsel and Care, which aims to highlight care issues facing older people and how they and their families can get good advice and plan ahead.
The week will include a number activities including the Annual Graham Lecture on September 4th, delivered by the Rt Hon David Blunkett MP, and a morning debate on ‘Right care, Right deal’ that Counsel and Care is running with Help the Aged and Carers UK. Local groups are encouraged to host events which can be advertised on Counsel and Care’s website and to regional media.
Counsel and Care’s advice service for older people, their families and carers will also be promoted during the week, including the launch of new advice guides and factsheets.
