Banstead U3A celebrate Odette Ellicott Day.

  16th July 2008 saw members of Banstead U3A come together to celebrate  Odette Ellicott Day. The Mayor of Reigate & Banstead,Councillor Roger  Newstead, was among the audience to listen to Margaret Watson's  presentation of 'My life on a harpstring'. They were introduced to the  audience by the Acting Chairman of Banstead U3A, Roger Stamp. 

 

The audience, were entranced by Margaret's talk about her harps & the varied programme of music & song she presented.

Universities of the Third Age are to be found in most towns in the S.E. of England & members enjoy a wide variety of activities. This university does not award degrees nor certificates & the ethos is that of self-help. To quote Chaucer, 'they both gladly teach & gladly learn'.
