Meet us - and win show tickets - at the London Retirement Show

If you live in or around London, why not make a date to meet us at the second Retirement Show in London, which takes place on Friday 18 and Saturday 19 July at London Olympia’s Grand Hall. Around 8,000 visitors are expected over two days, at the world’s largest event for those who are retired, semi-retired or who aspire to retire.

The show - sponsored by Prudential - includes around 150 exhibitors, as well as a performance stage with belly-dancing and excerpts from the West End stage, all day have-a-go dancing and tai chi, live cookery demonstations with Alex Mackay from Ready Steady Cook!, gardening with famous horticulturalist Roddy Llewellyn, and a live catwalk fashion show featuring mature models and clothes from sponsor Kaleidoscope.

Two seminar theatres will cover health matters, finance and property, as well as hobbies, making the most of your retirement. The show also includes indoor bowls, live nude painting classes and free blood pressure and hearing checks.

Also there throughout the show will be members of the Mature Times team, including editor Tony Watts, and Caroline – who doubles up as our distribution manager and the Mature Connections co-ordinator. Tony will be delighted to talk to you about issues or subjects you’d like to see in the paper, while Caroline will be handling subscriptions for the paper and enews, as well as membership of Connections. Anyone joining during the show will secure £5 off the annual membership fee.

You’ll also be able to put in an advance order for your copy of the Mature Times Guide to retirement Living at the special show price of £5. This new book, written by MT editor Tony Watts, will be on sale at £7.95 from September. Ordering at the show means your copy, which will be signed by the author, will be sent direct to you.

And there’s some exciting news for anyone signing up for our free fortnightly enews. 10 lucky people will be winning a pair of tickets to see one of the biggest shows now showing in the West End: Jersey Boys, the Story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, at the Prince Edward Theatre.  We promise you’ll love the rags-to-rock-to riches tale of four boys working their way from the streets of New Jersey to the heights of international pop-stardom.

Also at the show will be Enact Energy, who – through the Heat Project - provide a range of free and subsidized energy saving services for seniors, to cut their heating costs and make their homes warmer and cosier. Drop onto their stand and you could be one of the 50 people who win a free annual subscription to Mature Times.

The show web site is linked below, and pre-registration is free.

There’s so much to see and do - you’ll want to come on both days!
