Life’s for Living - celebrating older people in North Somerset, June 11th

Anyone over 50 who wants to celebrate life is welcome to a free one day Life Festival in Weston-Super-Mare on June 11th, organised by North Somerset Partnerships for Older People Project (POPP). With the emphasis on fun and enjoyment, the Festival offers an one-off opportunity to find out about a wide range of activities and services available throughout North Somerset. 

There will be information stands, free taster sessions of activities and services, workshops to improve understanding, skills, involvement, participatory activities and entertainment. The event will be constructed and themed around various marquees, which are: Active Life, Relaxed Life, Fun Life, Green Life, Safe Life and Multi-cultural Life. Refreshments will be available on the day including a tea room - and food straight from Mrs Beeton’s recipe book! 

Whilst the festival is particularly aimed at anyone 50 plus, everyone is welcome. The festival is free to enter and will be taking place on the beach lawns near the tourist information centre, Weston-super-Mare on Wednesday 11th June 08 10am - 4pm.  More information is available in the June edition of North Somerset Life and local press, including options for transport to the event.
