Cold Comfort down at Paulton

Paulton Amateur Dramatic society (PADS) in Somerset are busy in their theatre workshop, rehearsing and putting together their next production, which promises to match if not exceed their previous high standards.  This is a play adapted by Paul Doust from the novel, 'Cold Comfort Farm' by Stella Gibbons.

It is an hilarious comedy, set in the 1930s era, where the wildly different cultures of 'High Society' London and an eccentric matriarchal dominated family in remote rural England are exploited with a plethora of high humorous moments.

There are a host of excellent characters for the actors to have fun with, step inside and truly entertain their audiences when the show is brought on stage at Midsomer Norton Town Hall on 2nd July, Paulton Village Hall on 3rd and 4th July and 5th July in Hallatrow.  The final performance in Hallatrow will be performed in the open air in the garden of Tudor Lodge, where the audience are invited to bring their own picnic and enjoy this on the lawns before the show.
