Two generations dancing to the same beat!

It’s never too soon to start planning for retirement, as Bradford hairdressing salon owners Ron and Yvonne Whinpenny demonstrated when they joined visitors to the launch of The Laureates, a brand new luxury retirement development planned for Guiseley, West Yorkshire and took up the opportunity of professional dancing lessons.

The light footed pair went along because Yvonne’s mum and dad, Mr and Mrs Roberts (rear) are currently living in another Anchor development and say they enjoy life to the full.

Yvonne explained, “You’re never too young to consider where you want to spend the rest of your life and we were really impressed by the Anchor standard.”

Anchor Trust is the largest not-for-profit provider of housing, support and care in England, supplying a range of housing options - including purchasing and renting - to 50,000 customers.

Round-the-clock on-site support at The Laureates will be available to residents as and when they need it, but there will also be an emphasis on lifestyle, with features including a spa treatment room.

All homes will feature a standard specification which includes 24- hour emergency alarm, smoke detectors, intruder alarms and CCTV to outdoor and communal areas.
