"I love you' - celebrating the gentle piano music of John Grace
By Caroline Watts - 12/05/2008
In a world of increasing cacophony, John’s Grace's latest album of charming, gentle piano music will be a source of real balm and pleasure for all those over fifty. Called "I Love You", it includes live recordings, a terrific range of melodies and well-known ballads, and his own compositions such as ‘I Love You’. But whatever the song, his passion and expertise shine through.
John Grace is a born pianist, playing by ear from the age of four, and studying it earnestly from the age of five. He told the Mature
Times: "Over the last forty years I have worked with all types of musical ensembles, from Rock and Roll bands, Big Bands and jazz groups to country and western outfits.
"In the early 80s I played with the time-honoured Palm Court Orchestra at the Grand Hotel, Eastbourne, and have played all types of venue, from concert hall to theatre to clubs, radio and television. And I still love playing."
John has especially enjoyed his cabaret work as a soloist, playing top holiday centres all over the UK and on Olsen cruise liners - and he has several successful albums, both solo and combo, to his credit.
If you would like to order a copy of ‘I Love You’ please ring him any day between 9am and 9pm on 01730 268093 (telephone and fax line) or 07800 639673. The CD only costs £10 including postage and packing. It would also be an ideal for any sheltered housing complex or care home.
