Talk is certainly NOT cheap!

Years ago they used to say "talk's cheap". But those using the telephone will know that daytime talk is expensive in the UK - whilst other countries charge as little as 15 pence for such unlimited chatter.

Do readers also know that from February 2008 there has been a new, FREE, business sponsored Directory Enquiries Service on 0800 100 100. BT's Service costs £2.68.

Meanwhile, BT headlines in their March leaflet boldly talks of GIVING free UK weekend and evening calls automatically. But the small print says redial before one hour or you are charged 4 pence a minute.

I am reminded of the phrase "It goes without saying"  - but surely it does need to be said...?
