The CoaguNation Bus Tour - coming to a location near you...

Are you one of more than a million people in the UK on long-term warfarin? If the answer is yes, you need to know about the CoaguNation Bus Tour coming to a location near you...

The CoaguNation Bus Tour is taking place to provide long-term warfarin patients, and their family and friends, with an opportunity to learn more about the practical aspects and potential benefits of anticoagulation self-testing. The CoaguNation bus will be stopping at 28 shopping centres and garden centres across the UK and Ireland between May and July 2008 and will be open to the public free of charge.

The CoaguNation Bus Tour will provide information on how people on warfarin can simply and safely check their own blood at home, as opposed to having to attend clinics at the hospital or GP surgery, allowing them more freedom and flexibility.

On board there will be:

•       A local anticoagulation nurse to give practical advice and educational demonstrations on how to use self-testing kits and to answer any questions regarding warfarin medication and self-testing
•       A local member of the patient group AntiCoagulation Europe to provide first hand experience of self-testing
•       Educational materials which visitors can take away from the event.

A discount voucher on the purchase of a CoaguChek XS self-testing kit will also be available to visitors to the bus (terms and conditions apply).

The CoaguNation Bus Tour is sponsored by Roche Diagnostics supported by the patient group AntiCoagulation Europe (ACE). For more information and a full list of dates and locations / venues call free on 0808 1007666 or visit the website below.
