Introducing the ‘My Style’ Fashion Show
04/03/2008
The fashion event of the year is coming to Manchester Central on the 30th March 2008, as MS Life presents the ‘My Style’ fashion show, in conjunction with Harvey Nichols Manchester.
MS Life is the MS Society’s national conference, incorporating all aspects of living with multiple sclerosis (MS). From the 29-30 March, Manchester Central will host the highly interactive exhibition featuring everything from advice about leisure and holidays, through to the latest research, medical developments, care and support.
The weekend-long event will culminate in the ‘My Style’ fashion show on Sunday 30th March featuring models from across the UK who are all affected by MS. They will be styled and dressed by the team at Harvey Nichols Manchester, before they hit the catwalk modelling the latest styles and trends by a number of A-list designers.
TV fashion guru, Gok Wan, was keen to lend his support to the MS Life fashion show with a difference, whilst filming in Manchester for his latest series of ‘How to Look Good Naked’:
“MS Life will be an amazing event and the fashion show will be an incredible experience for the models taking part. Fashion is so much more than how you look; it’s a powerful tool that can dramatically increase your confidence, lift your mood and encourage success – power-dressing if you want a label – and everyone, particularly people with conditions such as MS, should be able to enjoy fashion and work it! I wish the event every success.”
Commenting on the fashion show, MS Society Event Director, Chris Bray said:
“The ‘My Style’ fashion show is going to be absolutely unforgettable. The 25 models are all incredibly excited and looking forward to their big moment on the catwalk. The fashion show is designed to prove that having MS doesn’t mean kissing goodbye to style, and if the show in 2006 is anything to go by, both the models and the audience members will have a brilliant evening.”
