Who remembers "One Minute Please"?

Whenever that popular long-running programme "Just A Minute" is featured, as in the interview with Nicholas Parsons (MT, February 2008), seldom is its predecessor "One Minute Please" mentioned.

Yet in the early 1950s I found that even more enjoyable, more complex with a password, and with the delightful compere Roy Plomley, and memorable contributions from one particular panelist Gerard Hoffnung.

Indeed we used to play that version of the game when I was at school. Who else remembers that earlier format with affection?
