Wear "A touch of red" for Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
21/02/2008
March 2008 is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month and The Eve Appeal charity, which funds groundbreaking research into gynaecological cancers, is asking women take part in the ‘A touch of red’ campaign to help raise funds for ovarian cancer research and boost awareness of the disease.
The campaign, which is now in its third year and spearheaded by TV presenter Lorraine Kelly, involves asking people to hold ‘A touch of red’ tea party. She says: “It is so easy to take part and to help out. Just put the kettle on and make a cup of tea - what could be simpler? It won't take too much time or effort and you really could make a difference".
Boots the high-street chemist are also adding the special ‘A touch of red’ key ring or pin badge to your shopping basket as part of their ongoing support of The Eve Appeal. They will then donate £2 for every key ring and £1 for every pin. And if you buy Jemma Kidd’s red Eve lipstick in Boots during March, 10% will go to The Eve Appeal.
