Get out your trainers for the RNID

The Royal National Institute for Deaf People is urging people to sign-up for the charity’s 10 remaining places at the Bath Half Marathon.

The national charity, which represents nine million deaf and hard of hearing people in the UK, wants to hear from people looking to participate in the popular 13-mile event on Sunday 16 March 2008.

RNID’s places are available on a first-come, first-served basis to prospective fundraisers who pay a £32 registration fee and raise £145 for the charity. The deadline to sign-up is Friday 8 February.

RNID has a South West regional office based in Lower Bristol Road, Bath and the charity runs seven purpose built care homes and a number of community services in the city.

Caroline Jupe, RNID’s Events & Community Fundraising Executive, said: “If you’re looking to step up your fitness and get back into shape for the year ahead, register now for RNID’s Bath Half Marathon team and help change the world for the UK’s nine million deaf and hard of hearing people.”

RNID runners will receive lots of fundraising and training advice from the charity. Friends and family of runners can join the RNID cheering points along the route.
