'The Universe' by Jim Henderson

The universe was created,
For every living thing.
The wild beasts that roam the earth,
For all the birds that sing.

But man was soon to change all that,
Wanting things his way.
In the time that he's been here,
Destroying it each day.

More animals are becoming extinct,
Their numbers decline every day.
Soon there will be no wildlife left,
If man keeps on having his way.

There is so much that needs to be done,
To stop the desruction of land.
For if God created the universe,
Why destroy it by human hand?
