You couldn't make it up

You really could not make it up could you? Yet another Government decree; we seem to get them every other day from 'New' Labour.

The latest announcement is that anyone caught using a mobile phone whilst driving a car could be imprisoned. That's a laugh. Who is going to catch them? I see drivers using mobile phones every day, so do you, so do all my friends. But the men who matter are never there at the time. Who do I mean? The boys in blue of course.

 

I think I last saw a policeman on foot (in cars a bit later than that) was in about 1963, or was it 64? So who is going to catch these felons and imprison them?  The people delivering the news on radio and TV seem to go along with it too because they never mention when they last heard of anyone being fined or even cautioned for such felonious activities.

 

You really have to laugh don't you otherwise you'd go bonkers!
