Gardeners question time - with a difference!

The world’s first free networking website designed specifically for gardeners has been set up by two green-fingered entrepreneurs. The inspiration for the site came from co-founder Peter Richards’ mother-in-law when she became frustrated by her inability to find proper advice on how to tend her rose garden in winter.  And the unique part about the site is that members can receive their own plot where they can write about their garden and display their own photographs.

Called www.growsonyou.com, the user-friendly site is also a useful information resource, with members able to post their gardening questions, which in turn are answered by other members. It's free to join and makes it easy for people to share their gardening experiences with each other - whether they are raw beginners, experts or somewhere in between.

Speaking about the site, Peter Richards said: “It’s much nicer to hear solutions from gardening friends who’ve been there and solved the problem than to look it up in a book.” Co-founder Ajay Mathur added: “We immediately recognised a gap in the web market for an information exchange between gardeners and by gardeners.”
