Film appeal - caring for elderly parents or relatives

Award-winning documentary film maker James Dawson has approached Mature Times readers for help in making a film about caring for elderly parents or relatives. His previous work has covered subjects such as: an eight-year-old girl and her family living through cancer and then kidney transplantation, a taste of what life is like for wheelchair users in the UK, and a film about elderly care and the introduction of a controversial new ‘Do Not Resuscitate’ policy on one hospital’s acute stroke ward.

His new documentary will take a hard look at the struggle to care for the elderly at home, and he would be most grateful to hear from anyone who is looking after parents or a relative in their own home.
