The dangers of HRT
01/11/2007
I have just read your piece about the dangers of HRT (Mature Times, October 2007) and would like to tell you of my experience.
I had been taking it for 10 years when I suddenly became ill around 1999. Fatigue, fainting and loss of appetite - finally finishing up in hospital with Multiple Pulmonary Embolisms. I was lucky to be alive, and it was the HRT that was responsible.
It was 'touch and go' for some time, but thank goodness I am now fine and happy and grateful to still be here for the births of my two great grandchildren.
I would strongly urge other women to be cautious about taking HRT.
