Part time work for older Londoners
30/10/2007
Although I am 68 I had an idea for a business recently - which is generating more work than I can keep up with! So I am asking whether there are any Mature Times' readers who have a "Freedom Pass" who would would like to do some self-employed work with me?
My small business is called "see London Your Way" (linked below) - and that is exactly what I offer people: the ability for them to see London the way THEY want! OK - there are plenty of guides around who will take people on a "specialized" tour around our great city, but what all of these tours have in common is that people have to go where the tour guides want to take you!
But my tours take people where they decide that THEY want to go. They choose which places of interest they want to visit and we will pick them up from anywhere in London and take them round them on London's buses and underground trains in the quickest possible time - saving hours of time standing on corners trying to work out how to get to the next place (and finding someone who can tell you who speaks English!). We know which bus/train goes where and when to get on/off of it, and all of our guides are active and fun Senior Citizens who have lived in London all their lives and love the City as no other!
Currently this is just a "cottage business" with myself as the only operative, but in the not too distant future I may get to a point where I have more bookings than I can handle, so I'm looking for some keen, fit, active Londoners who have a "Freedom Pass" and who would like to do some self-employed work with me as their booking agent.
